Obtain a waiver of pre-existing violation prior to permit. (not including city fees or fines)If a violation exists against a property, the DOB will not issue a work permit until fines and penalties are paid.  If the existing violation is unrelated to your space, a waiver may be submitted.  NYDA will prepare & deliver L2 for waiver of civil penalty prior to permit issuance.
